The operating audit

Start with your workflow, not with our slides.

Bring one process that annoys you. We map it, show you where the hand-offs are costing you, and tell you what we would take over first.

The audit is the first of three phases — Process Architecture & Workflow Audit. We don't sell the phases separately. The audit is where the operating model gets decided, not a report that ends up in a drawer.

01How it runs

One process, looked at properly.

No discovery workshop about strategy. One real workflow, the one people complain about, taken apart step by step.

  1. 01

    You bring the process

The one that annoys people. Approvals that wait, numbers that get retyped, a report someone assembles by hand every week.

  2. 02

    We map the hand-offs

Every point where the work passes between a step, a person and a system. That's where the hand-off tax sits, and it's usually not where people expect.

  3. 03

    We name what goes first

Which part an agent takes over, where the decision stays with a person, and what has to change in the operating model for that to hold.

02What you leave with

Four things, all of them concrete.

No maturity matrix, no slide about the future of work.

  • A map of one workflow with every hand-off named — who passes what to whom, and through which system.
  • The points where the work waits, and what it is waiting for.
  • A first candidate to automate, and the reason it is first rather than the others.
  • A straight answer on whether this is worth doing at all. Sometimes it isn't, and you should hear that from us before you hear it from your own numbers.
03Scope

The scope is set with you, not from a price list.

We don't publish a fixed package, because the size of the audit follows the process you bring and how deep it reaches into your systems. A workflow that lives in one ERP is not the same job as one that crosses four systems and three departments.

So we agree the scope, the deliverable and the timeline in writing before anything starts — and you see all three before you commit to any of them.

Who takes part

The audit needs the people who own the process and the person who can decide to change it. If neither is in the room, we'd rather move the date than run it without them.

Next step

One process. One conversation.

Tell us which workflow to look at. We'll come back with what we would map and what we'd need from you to do it.
